Rising Up: The Bread Project is expanding!

Join us for the grand opening of our new bakery training facility in Emeryville.

Date: February 24, 2010

Time: 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Place:

1555 Park Avenue, Unit J
Emeryville, CA [map]

The new location will add to the Bread Project’s Berkeley facility in offering job training to help individuals with low income gain access to the food industry. This will allow the program to almost double its training capacity over the next two years.

The Emeryville training focuses on batch bakery production skills, while in Berkeley the training emphasizes skills for café and restaurant employment. Meanwhile we are also shifting into high volume bakery accounts to grow our social enterprises.

The Emeryville Grand Opening event will feature a ribbon cutting ceremony as well as a reception and a baking workshop. The purpose of the event is to inform the greater community about the mission of The Bread Project, while also recognizing our key supporters.
